In the morning
In the early morning, you will be met and transferred by our Egyptologist from your hotel via a modern air-conditional vehicle to St.Catherine monastery, driving three hours through the desert and you will enjoy the landscape.
The monastery of St.Catherine is the oldest Christian monastery still in existence in the world and houses the richest collection of icons and precious manuscripts. it dates back to 6th century, the monastery was built by order of the Roman Emperor Justinian enclosing the chapel of the Burning Bush ordered to be built by Helena, the mother of Constantine, at the site where Moses(peace be upon him)spoke with the lord, you see also the church of transfiguration and Moses well
Lunch
Then we will drive to St.Catherine city to get our lunch there in a local restaurant is located in front of the mountains.
Mount Sinai
After lunch you will climb Mount Sinai with the Bedouin escort, it is 2285 meters above sea level.
You will take almost 2h30 to get to the peak of Mount Sinai, the way to the top of Mount Sinai is 7 km including 750 steps and we will find on the way some Bedouin coffee shops
